The Colombian threesome...

Columbia. A nation that has seen blood spilled more than Saudi Arabia has seen oil.
La Violencia was the starting point of this armed conflict, whereby the assassination of Jorge Eliécer Gaitán triggered a RWB backed military attack on peasant communities. Yes you heard it right...Peasant, as in agricultural labourers. Soon the conflict became a three way fight between the Columbian government, the FARC Guerilla and the Paramilitary

The Columbian government says that it is engaging in this conflict to defend the safety and rights of its country, citizens and businesses. However, they are responsible for the brutal murders of civilians, corporate and union members. The 1990 Trujilio massacre saw 60 people being dismembered piece by piece with a chainsaw. This massacre was lead by a government military officer. And it is with these people, the RWB continue to supply aids to help them commit more sadistic murders. A study by Lars Schoultz, shows that US aid "has tended to flow disproportionately to Latin American governments which torture their citizens”. So if terrorism means committing an act of violence on innocent people, then surely the Colombian government can be considered as one, couldn’t they?
The paramilitary, a right wing faction, was set up by the Colombian Government to “murder and assassinate targets in the most brutal way possible”.i say this because they have been accountable for 80% of the political murders every year, and the massacres of large amounts of people. They were responsible for the Mapiripan, Alto Naya & Betoyes massacres where more than 200 people have been chopped, dismembered, cut-up, raped, burnt, beheaded, disembowelled and shot. There was even a pregnant teenager who was raped, her womb cut open and the foetus removed and hacked into several pieces. And there have constantly been proof that they are backed by the government, who are in turn backed by the RWB. sick and disgusting isnt it?

Remember the peasant communities we mentioned earlier? Well they make up the FARC, which stands for Revolutionary Arrmed Forces of Colombia. This communist group claim to be at war to protect the poor and to stop government violence. Very noble indeed, but seeing the fact that they themselves kidnap and murder individuals is nothing to be surprised about. It is however, surprising to know where they get their funding from. It mainly comes from ransom kidnappings and taxation on the illegal drug trade. I make no excuse on the kidnappings which are disgraceful and despicable. However, touching on the taxation, one can easily see that again, this is a RWB funded organization. The FARC merely taxes the drug farmers for growing them, as well as making the Cessna delivery boys pay a sum for landing and taking off on their make-shift air strip. So where do the drugs end up? Well the land of RWB of course, where it is processed and consumed by its citizens. So shouldn’t the RWB citizens be charged for aiding in terrorism activities, instead of being labelled as a drug abuser? How come they have labelled the drug farmers in Colombia as terrorist, and the ones who buy them as criminals? The drug farmers have to pay the taxes or else he will get killed. He is not willingly supporting the terrorist, but he has no choice. The RWB on the other hand can’t stop the drug users from continuing to buy terrorist controlled drugs as it contributes a great amount to its economy.
i am in no way supporting terrorist activities.. i am merely disgusted by the fact that the same people who declared the "war on terror" are funding the "terror".. it is therefore, a never ending battle as the circle will continue its cycle. People in Colombia will continue to die, and the confilct will never be resolved...
